Scotia Homes are delighted to be bringing forward proposals for a residential development, incorporating open space and associated infrastructure at land adjacent to Westfield Loan, which is identified as site F4 in the Local Development Plan.

We submitted a Proposal of Application Notice (PoAN) on the 3rd of October 2022.

We would like to thank everyone who attended our first event on 1st November 2022 at the East and Old Parish Church. We appreciate all the feedback received so far. To view the presentation boards used on 1st November please click here.

A further event will take place on 1st December between 3:00pm and 7:00pm at the East and Old Parish Church (Main Room), 38-40 E High Street, Forfar, DD8 2EG. This event aims to receive views of the community and allow these contributions to be fed into the detailed design process.

If you are unable to attend either event, a full copy of our presentation boards will be made available via the exhibition tab of this webpage, and we would invite you to view the content of the presentation boards, consider the proposed development and use the feedback form on the website to submit your comments.

Your comments are very important to us and will be reported to Angus Council as part of the planning application process. We will also summarise any comments received and set this out in a Pre-Application Consultation Report which will explain the consultation undertaken on the proposals. An Application for Planning Permission for the proposed development will then be submitted to Angus Council.

You will have an opportunity to make comments directly to Angus Council once the planning application is submitted, and Angus Council will undertake notification of neighbours and consultation with the community council as part of the planning application.

Masterplan

This Proposal of Application Notice and programme of public consultation, follows an extensive programme of stakeholder and community engagement on the Masterplan Framework, the masterplan Framework was prepared for the ‘F4 Housing – Westfield’ site and sought to examine the land and visual impact; access and movement; site ecology; and existing constraints to create an informed and considered masterplan proposal.
